Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a first-person shooting video game that was launched worldwide in November 2011. This game was jointly developed by Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward and published by Activision. After the release, it was available for the Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Wii.

It is a direct sequel to 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the third and final installment in the original Modern Warfare Saga. Overall, it is also the eighth installment in the world-famous Call of Duty series. 

The game follows Modern Warfare 2 and continues the story. It begins where you left the events of the final mission in the last game.

The game has a task force 141 which consists of Captain Price, Yuri, and Soap MacTavish. They aim to hunt down the Modern Warfare 2 Antagonist Vladimir Makarov alongside the Delta Force and Special Airforce. 

Vladimir is a Russian terrorist who is a leader of the Russian Ultranationalist party. His notorious actions cause multiple terror attacks all over Europe which triggers a huge war between the friendly forces and the ultranationalists. 

The game is played in different modes such as Single Player, Special Operations, and multiplayer mode.

The single-player mode gives you a cinematic thrill-ride where you engage with enemy forces in New York, Berlin, Paris, and other sites across the globe. The Special ops mode returns with a horde of add-ons including 16 new objective-based missions.

You can either play alone or team up online and face troops of enemies through the multiplayer map.

The multiplayer mode raises the bar by focusing on gun-on-gun combat which is fast-paced and its innovative features boost and augment the huge array of playstyles.

Call of Duty can be enjoyed to the fullest if you are playing at the highest settings. The graphics of the game are truly amazing and with the lowest settings, you would be missing a great deal. Hence, you should always upgrade to Custom PC in order to play this game at the highest settings.

Graphics and Audio:

Just like other Call of Duty series this version comes with advanced audio and graphics as compared to the previous version i.e. COD MW3. The high-quality graphics are available only if your system fulfills the high frame rate requirements and your PC holds the RTX 2060 GPU.

Special Ops:

This is a completely new feature in the new Call of Duty MW3 where there is a ranking that is similar to the Multiplayer mode. Here the player earns points for experience in Mission and Survival Modes. You unlock new missions for mission mode and new ammunition, equipment, and perks for Survival Mode.

Mission Mode:

Mission mode is based on a fast-paced objective-driven mission that is constructed on campaign levels and some multiplayer maps. These can be completed solo or Co-op.

Once you complete a mission, you earn up to 3 stars which are rewarded depending on your performance during the mission and gameplay by completing a specific difficulty.

However, if you fail a mission, you must start all over because there are no checkpoints available in COD MW3. As opposed to Survival Mode’s wave-based gameplay, Mission mode has timed missions with objectives to follow.

Survival Mission:

Survival Mode is a new add-on in the Special Ops mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 where players manage troops of A.I controlled rivals on the multiplayer maps. 

As the player moves forward, he/she is faced with more adversaries and faced with multiple juggernauts, Dogs, and Suicide Bombers strapped with C4 and enemies. The difficulty level is extremely high in this mode and it is nearly impossible to win in this mode by yourself. Like other Special Ops missions, multiplayer is available in this mode both online as well as split-screen.

Final Verdict:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 received multiple positive reviews after its release and even won the Best Shooter Award in 2011 Spike Video Game Awards. One can say that this game was Activision’s massive commercial success.

Within 24 hours of its release, the game sold almost 6.5million copies in the United Kingdom and the United States while grossing over $400 Million that made it the largest and most successful entertainment launch of that time.
