Released by Epic Games in 2017, Fortnite has become one of the most popular games all over the world. It is a multiplayer survival game available in three different modes.
The first game mode released in Fortnite: Save the World, a cooperative action-building game. Players have to work together to defeat the ominous villain, “The Storm”. “The Storm” is a mysterious darkness or storm that has eliminated 98% of the Earth’s population.
Players play as Heroes (the ones who have survived the storm) and seek to rebuild the land humanity has lost. On the way, they are attacked by zombie-like creatures known as “Husks” and must defend themselves and other survivors to win.
The premise of this game involves exploring the game lands and building structures. Players also have to fight different kinds of monsters and craft their weapons to survive together.
Together, the Heroes scavenge for treasure and items for the building.
Just building isn’t enough; players must also defend their buildings as well. Beneath building lies loot, an important resource in the game.
The second version, Fortnite Battle Royale is the version everyone knows and loves. Being a player versus player, you have the freedom to play however you wish to.
The objective is to attack and eliminate other players while avoiding The Storm and also scavenging for resources.
The third version is Fortnite Creative. This is like Minecraft, allowing players to create their own games and battle arenas. The size of these files varies.
Players use weapons like a pickaxe to scout and collect resources such as metal, wood and brick.
These materials make structures like stairs, walls and even floors. Each material has separate durability, so the more durable your material the stronger your structure will be. Each mode uses constructing in different ways.
For example, in Save the World, you can build defences and tunnels filled with traps to eliminate Husks. In Battle Royale structures are used to
quickly jump from one place to another within the map and in Creative mode, players can go wild!
